What I Believe

How do you know if you’re on the right path? In my opinion, you’re actively using your unique strengths and gifts, and contributing value to the world around you. You’re figuring out what you love and what you’re good at. You’re actively managing your weaknesses to ensure they don’t block your journey.

Each of us is on our own spiritual journey on the way to what I call Serendipity. Serendipity is typically defined as a singular phenomenon wherein good things happen unexpectedly and unlooked for. I believe Serendipity to be more of a state of being rather than a happy, random accident. In other words, when you’re walking the path the Universe has set for you – good things happen.

It might not always be perfect, and it might not always be pretty, but you know when you’re on the right path, working to fulfill your purpose. You know by the effect you have on those around you. You know by the hard-won peace instilled in your heart.

I founded Scent & Stone as a brick-and-mortar business 4 years ago to help more people get their feet on that path. From meditation aids to Chakra alignment to holistic tarot readings, all my products and services are tools you can use along the way. Since 2021, the business has grown and diversified, with the help and support of many loyal customers, vendors, and partners.

At the same time, we have built an active community, with events and classes taking place every week – and people utilizing our unique, shared spaces every day, including our indoor fairy garden, Alice’s Tearoom and the Zen Room.

My mission/vision is to provide a safe and happy, comfortable atmosphere for personal growth and holistic wellness and to help people get the tools they need to reach their goals.

About Me

Growing up in the 70s, my family was very open to different spiritual beliefs and practices. I was a young girl when I experienced my own spirit guides for the first time.

Unfortunately, I didn’t nurture my gifts and walked a different path for many years. I’m happy to say that I found my way back and have dedicated myself ever since to growing my intuitive healing abilities.

Once I became open again, I started studying Kundalini Yoga, got certified, started meditating, and getting back in touch with my gifts. As a natural continuation of the Kundalini Chakra work, I became a certified Reiki master. I sought out a mentor and worked to focus my gifts as an Intuitive Healer. As I focused on the Intuitive side, and reconnected with my spirit guides I began practicing Divination in various forms. I continue to go to classes and study with Masters in other Crafts to learn, expand, and nurture my gifts.

Everything I study, everything I sell in the metaphysical shop, and all of the practices I follow are in the service of replenishing my clients’ energy levels and helping them to find tranquility within themselves.

Like everybody else, my journey continues. By practicing my gifts, they continue to grow. By expanding my community, I am overcoming my own struggles. By nurturing this business, I am evolving into a new person, doing what I love, what I’m good at – and hopefully adding value to the world around me. I’m working towards Serendipity myself and hope to help you do the same!
